Capitalism < is an ideology (school of thought) supply and demand. They re doing it but they don t even know they are doing it (in other words the common sense accepted way of doing something taken for granted. ) Commodity fetishism idea of psychological instilling something into something with extra value how an object or commodity is instilled with more value than a typical supply or demand ex: brand name t-shirt vs regular t-shirt; concept of money. Case study 1: from klondike gold rush to toronto stock exchange. Ideology is a system of the ideas of representation which dominate the mind of a man or social group conceived as a pure illusion, a pure dream, i. e, as nothingness. Spectacle the spectacle is not a collection of images rather, it is a social relationship between people that is mediated by images definition of semiotics: interpretation of signs . Isolation within ideology of individuality and freedom; the dark side is isolation.
