Queer politics confront the connections between sexuality and power; however. Instead of destabilizing the assumed categories and binaries of sexual identity, queer politics has served to reinforce simple dichotomies between heterosexual and everything queer. It is not looking at the structures. Queer activists evoke a single-oppression frameworklimiting the capability of queer. Argues that are you really that queer if you are a but for subject. Questions intersectionality framing it as possibly limited. Beyond a mere recognition of the intersection of oppressions, there must also be an understanding of the ways our multiple identities work to limit the entitlement and status some receive from obeying a heterosexual imperative . Some people do not receive the benefits of heterosexuality because they are non- normative in terms of race and class etc. Cannot be understood simply as an intersection of identities.
