There are two main forms of the bible, christian, and jewish. The christian form is longer, and it is more important to the development of english literature and western society. The christian bible is divided into two parts: the old testament and the new testament. It is sometimes known as the hebrew bible: not all the old testament has hebrew roots however |(some of it was originally written in greek, the old testament is a more common name in english literature. It was adopted by christianity and modified to form today"s christian bible. It is similar, but not the same as the jewish bible. Isaiah malachi: each of these books is divided into chapters and verses.
