Personified as lady minne, jusxtaposed with lady wit and a personified aventiure: service, high spirit ( debonair ) Chivalric values/middle high german concepts : moderation (maze) Determination + spiritual commitment to some person/cause/purpose: faithfulness/loyalty (triuwe, generosity (milte, honour (ere, service (dienst, high spirit (hochmout) Chivalric opens up a spiritual dimension not present in the heroic: heroic was more about power, politics, shifting allegiances, empire building, introspection is absent in the heroic model.
