Celebrated event for chinese communist party: not defeated and were able to rearm and regain strength. 1936: communist capture chiang and keep him on the premise to leave the communist party and keep resisting japan. Japanese army better equipped and trained than chinese: modern efficient army; tanks, planes. Civil war; kmt is legally government, capital is manking.
