People"s feelings about their genitals may be affected by whether they perceive their genitals to fit with general cultural norms: too big, too small, their sexual experiences (i. e. child sexual abuse, medical conditions (such as genital surgery) Sensitive organ important in female sexual response. Only known function of the clitoris is sexual pleasure. Glans clitoris: knob of external tissue above the vaginal and urethral opening. Prepuce: the hood of skin that covers the clitoris. Crura: two longer spongy bodies that lie deep in body and run from tip to either side of the vagina. Rounded, fatty pad of tissue, covered with pubic hair, at front of the body. Lies on top of the pubic bones. Two hairless fold of skin lying between the outer lips and running right along the edge of the vaginal opening. The inner lips extend forward and come together in front, forming the clitoral hood.
