Ependymal cells (cns: help produce & circulate cerebrospinal uid (csf) Microglia (cns: macrophages that devour and digest cellular debris (phagocytosis) Body centric: dorsal: back, ventral: belly, rostral: tail, caudal: tail. Space centric: superior: above, inferior: below, anterior: before, posterior: after. Same or different: a and b and ipsilateral (same side, a and c are contralateral (opposite sides) One or both: a is unilateral (one side, d is bilateral (both sides) Left or right: left lateralized, right lateralized.
