The Sociological Imagination is the ability to step outside your
socialization and see yourself from a new perspective- a

As American sociologist Peter Berger suggests, it is seeing the
general in the particular/strange in the familiar. Employing the
sociological imagination helps us better understand society and
our individual and collective relationships to it.
