The sexualization of childhood has dramatically increased partly because of uncensored media. Distinct link between the sexualization of childhood (especially girls) and consumerism commodification. Messages that are being conveyed about consumer: it was all about fashion, they were half naked most of the time, one minute they"re in high chairs then the next they"re on, obsession with appearance cell phones. Shows them sitting on the potty going to the bathroom. Shows them having a bath, then naked drying off with towels. One of the babies dances with her cat between her legs sexually. They get into the car in their underwear. Gender (in the video): these little girls are perceived as objects, very self centered. Beyonce put a ring on it (young kids) On the surface you may think they"re good dancers, but there is something wrong with this. Women are not clothed and men are clothed. Woman are objects to be consumed by the male gaze.
