The moon is brought up 3 times she refers to it having a fire and flaring. But the moon is typically not associated with fire. Squeezing it (the love, her thought, ideas) Not flowing them into pen and ink squeezing into drops! The first stanza she uses more loveliness. The second stanza displays a yarning she was totally in love but she"s not questioning her love. Are the draggled fly"s legs odd imagery. The person she"s writing her letter to isn"t present in her current physical space. The limitation of language to capture how she feels. How do you take and represent what you"re experiencing into language. All you have is little cramped words. Limited space, and unable to convey your actual emotions. How can words stand for the presence that she"s there. The poet might say that they can and they can"t . She is trying, but words are useless, content says otherwise.
