Neofreudians broke away from freud"s overemphasis on sexual energies. Neofreudians sought to clarify many of the concepts freud failed to. Carl gustav jung, who specialized in analytic psychology, expanded on freud"s ideas, but added a layer of complexity. Jung suggested, based on childhood experiences, that there were many spirits at work. Prior to illness, she was warm and welcoming, but after being away from her for several months, she seems to be quite cold. He was interested in opposite personality manifested in the same person. He considers, back and forth, until he has blurred the lines and cannot determine if he is the boy or the stone. He aspired to be an archaeologist, but could not find someone to teach him, so he resorted to medicine, where he began reading freud"s articles. He eventually met freud and joined his circle. Freud refused to share his dreams with jung, which hurt jung, eventually resulting in his disbanding from freud"s circle.
