A research question that is not addressed by hypothesis or testable in methodology results in losing points on a thesis proposal. Effect is a controversial word in a research question because it implies causality. Emotion and memory would be the variables. Relation or association are both appropriate words for this type of research question. Relation should be used for statistical association questions. Relationship is the bond between two people. The so-what test is used to test value of research questions. How does it affect society, individual, their well-being? (broader implications) What gap does the question fill? (theoretical implications) It is best to have a directional hypothesis (connection and direction for that connection) Using the participant pool is a large limitation. Reliability is the extent to which measures are consistent. Reliability can be determined by looking at cronbach"s alpha and inter-rater reliability. Construct validity is the extent to which we are measuring the construct we intended to measure.
