Commit to changed behaviour-has to involve some assurance, some guarantee that this won"t happen again, some commitment to making sure this doesn"t happen again, otherwise the apology isn"t complete. E. g. poliician or media celebrity apologizes for indiscreion-public sphere-what we hear about in the media-poliician that apologizes for corrupion, etc, rob ford, iger woods-sill coming from one person but directed to a broader audience. E. g. business apologizes for employee harassment or discriminaion against a client-marks work wearhouse. Governmental or insituional response to historical injusice-residenial schools.
