What are the consequences of being a criminal: these three things opened up a new dimension into crime which is still felt in today"s time, even if the label movement has fallen out of favour and use. Crime is a label that is conferred on by the state: it is the social reaction of di erent groups like the public, and the reality created by legal authorities they construct which is important. Crimes are invented it is not constant; they are socially constructed through di erent perspectives and historical events .
