Awareness: how conscious we are of our acions and behaviour low awareness for low-efort thinking (when we are assuming things) Eiciency: how many atenional resources a process requires (it is easy to assume things, but diicult to reason it out) Intenionality and controllability are very similar, but diferent in the process. Schemas: a mental concept of our knowledge about the social world. We use this knowledge to explain the things we see every day. Korsakov"s syndrome: the inability to form new schemas. Schemas allow us to organize informaion, and quickly withdraw it when needed (solving a logic problem ater seeing the answer) Schema relevant informaion processes faster than schema irrelevant informaion. Stereotype: schemas applied to a paricular social group (race, gender, culture, religion, naionality, etc. ) Gun bias: black people are more likely to possess a irearm than a white person.
