Anatomy and Cell Biology 2221 Lecture Notes - Lecture 12: Opponens Pollicis Muscle, Hypothenar Eminence, Adductor Pollicis Muscle
Document Summary
The most superficial tissue in the hand is the palmar aponeurosis. This is tissue found between the tendons going to the finger tips. This is the (cid:862)(cid:373)eaty(cid:863) part of the ha(cid:374)d (cid:271)y the thu(cid:373)(cid:271). This is the muscular side of the hand on the pinky side, smaller than thenar eminence. Tendons of fdp to the lat. side of the extensor expansion on digits 2-5. Note: there is a discrepancy between the digit number and the lumbrical number (l1 = digit 2, l2 = digit 3 etc. )
