April 4 female reproductive: uterus, vagina and perineum. On either side of vagina have muscles of pelvic diaphragm (levator anum) rectal poutch uterine artery and supplies vagina. During defecation part of pelvic diaphragm elevates to take a dump. Pelvic diaphragm forms roof of perineum and floor of pelvis. Perineum is diamond shaped structure 4 points (pubic symphysis, 2 ischial tuberosity"s and coccyx) 1st triangle is urogenital triangle urethra and genitals there. Perineum is a region (diff then peritoneum!!) There are also 2 crus in female similar to male they come together and form clitoris. Bulb similar to male theyre cavernous erectile tissue. Crus are covered by ischocavernoous muscle (like male) Similar, when these muscles contract they send blood to clitoris when erect and the. Stuck on to perineal membrane there"s greater vestibular gland homologous to muscles help support opening to vagina.
