113 views14 pages

Document Summary

Mixed nerves; dorsal and ventral rami: ventral rami supply the intercostal muscles and supply the skin, wrap all the way around the sternum. Sympathetic trunk ganglion: chain going off as well. There is definitely overlap but pretty much stay within arrangement. All the way down to the coccygeal nerve. Why is the traditional sit up not sufficient for working the abdominal wall. Vertebral column articulates and forms the bony pelvis. The pelvis is like a bowl the bottom of the bowl is formed by muscles. In the pelvis there are organs sitting there: bladder, the uterus, rectum, prostate gland: anterior rami of the sacral nerve also here. Pelvis attached to leg ball and socket. Attaches the lower limb to the axial skeleton and distributes the weight. Femur attached by ball and socket to the pelvis. Starts off as separate bones and fuse together: ilium, ischium and pubis bone fuse together (6 to form the entire pelvis)
