Male reproductive system: blood supply to the penis is very rigorous bc obtaining an erection is all about hemodynamics, not about muscles, penis, testes, and scrotum are anchored into the perineum. Nerve to cremaster: pampiniform plexus network of veins that cool the blood. Descends along posterior wall of bladder: ampulla. Semen and urine use the same system/route to exit the penis, but they don"t mix: you never urinate and ejaculate at the same time mechanisms prevent this. Urethra prostatic coronal section: neck of the bladder where internal sphincter would be prostatic urethra. Urethra membranous: very short segment but it"s important bc its surrounded by, external urethral sphincter allows you to regulate micturition, perineal membrane, bulb of penis is the base of the penis. Should be called muscular urethra, but its called membranous urethra. Runs from end of membranous urethra to the tip of the penis.
