For subconscious proprioception (scp = scp: also for proprioception of lower limbs & trunk; coordinating body movements. 1st order neuron (sensory to spinal cord) synapses at the dorsal horn. The ventral spinocerebellar tract actually decussates at the midline of the spinal cord, but decussates a second time in the cerebellum, once it enters via the superior cerebellar peduncle. All this proprioceptive information goes to the vermis and intermediate zone of the cerebellum. For localization of touch, pressure, conscious proprioception. 2nd order neuron, after synapsing w/ 1st order in the respective nucleus immediately decussates in the medulla oblongata and travels up as the medial lemniscus tract to the thalamus (vpl).
