Anterior view of oral cavity: uvula voluntary phase of swallowing w/ involuntary phase (where pharynx comes up) If you touch the uvula, there will be a gag reflex. Soft palette can be elevated to close off the opening between the oral pharynx & nasopharynx. Parotid: drains into vestibule of mouth; opposite upper second molar.
