It goes this through the objectification of woman: means that as a ritualized social practiced, it also contributes to the maintenance and reproduction of social structure. It strengthens male-to-male peer bonds precisely through the othering, degradation, and humanization of women. It expresses the speaker"s desire to acquire salt. It does not just refer to an object in the world.
