The aesthetic that appeals to its audience. A plan or drawing produced to show the look and function of how something works. Good design can help the reader understand complicated information. Design is not art: art serves the purpose of the artist; design serves the purposes of the client. Therefore, design is not the platform for personal expression. Objectivity: not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts vs. subjectivity: based on, or influenced by, personal feelings: this is design. Design is the process we follow to solve problems. Graphic design is a creative process which involves a client(s) and a designer(s) in an attempt to mutually achieve the goals, set forth (cid:271)y the (cid:272)lie(cid:374)ts" (cid:374)eed. The design is created to convey a specific message(s) to a targeted audience. Graphic design is a twofold process: designing communication of ideas, the designs the product(s) which is/are generated from those ideas in the design process.
