With it we can look at the individual and society. He said once hes not actually author of book, he simply makes raw materials for book. He wrote this book to make sense of his own life upbringing. Different analytical approaches important for making us understand these thing. In intro to kim clark"s book on hegemony we talk about how dominant culture re ects the experiences of dominant groups. This book shows how complex this identity of dominant groups can be. He doesn"t quite inhabit the typical identity of people of his class. He doesn"t have an unproblematic easy relation according to his class position. Reminds us that identity formation even for elite groups isn"t always straight forward.
