Cells with bound antibodies or that have taken up the dyes can now be sorted and counted. There are specific antibodies, which recognize the extra cellular domains. Hoechst stain (dye that can cross into the cell) has a high affinity for dna. Can show how much dna is in the cell. Lasers are illumination source, which are aimed at tubes.
