Growth rate is dependent on size because as size increases, more prey are available. Food availability is effected by growth rate, which is effected by size in both environments. G1= tadpole habitat; g2 = toad habitat. The size the toad is when they leave the pond will be much smaller due to competition. Through evolution we see the larval stage disappear to avoid competitors and predation. Because this model utilizes size, you do(cid:374)"t (cid:374)eed a (cid:373)orphologi(cid:272)al change.
