Document Summary

Gsa: relative location of such dna sequence signals as promoter, 5" and 3" utr, sd box , start codon, stop codon, transcription terminator etc. Promoter, operator (if operon), coding genes, termination factor of transcription. The sd box is transcribed dna into mrna and binds with ribosome. 5" utr (untranslated region) holds promoter, operator, 3" holds termination factors. Each gene (individual) has a start and stop codon, the entire operon has termination factor: mechanism by which each signal is interpreted, or understood, by the cell. It is regulatory genes first, then coding genes. Promoters can mutate to become more attractive to rna polymerases, and stable binding to promoters increase its efficiency: characteristics of promoters that require a particular position and direction. They are very low efficiency, due to its selectivity. When promoters have specific position and direction, this means that the gene can only be transcribed in one direction.
