Soviets got to it first with venera 9, 10, 12 and 14 and even took pics of surface since then due to venus express (europe) Currently very slowly rotating clockwise (retrograde) along with uranus and pluto. Completely covered with a thick cloud primarily consisting of droplets of liquid/solid s and droplets of sulfuric acid (the purple that we see) Below this cloud there is an atmosphere composed of: co2 96. 5, n 3. 5, water vapour 0. 1%-0. 4, sulfur dioxide 130ppm = 0. 01, oxygen 60ppm.
