Lowell: observatory mainly study mars, to improve reputation looked for planet past neptune. Tombaugh: photograph sky along ecliptic general vicinity of predicted position of planet. Tombaugh regio: bright, heart-shaped region, w/in is smooth plain called. Charon: orbits pluto in circular orbit in plane of pluto"s equator, binary planet its tidally locked with pluto. Trans-neptunian objects: mostly resident w/in kuiper belt of icy objects. 3 others same classification pluto: eris, makemake, haumea.
