We believe that it will be our machines that will drive us forward to something greater. I, robot is the epitome of this belief. Azimoff suggests that the fact that the robots rule over in a way that humans never could as a good thing. World war terminus has poisoned the planet, killing all the animals. Most have abandoned earth, those that are left are rejects, the ill. This is a world that is gradually breaking down, the opposite of i, robot. His style is in between shelley and azimoff. Dick makes us focus on the everyday actions of life (tv shows, their jobs, petty details of bad marriages and mean bosses) Azmioff"s world is hard sci-fi (concerned with technology, what if questions) Truth and the real: knowledge is experiencing the entropic decline into nothingness, no trust in authority, or anyone. Narrative perspective: the consciousness that we see the world through are jack and rick, two limited perspectives.
