The android differed from the robot in that it is organic rather than mechanical. Androids are distinguished by their ability to appear and act to the smallest detail as do humans. We do less and less, the tools do more and more. What happens to our capacity to be masters of our own destiny. Will we become so dependent that they will master us: androids raise very different questions. They are a life form in their own right, with their own desires, They raise q about identity and knowledge. What grounds to we distinguish between the real and the. Through the android all that is swept away: cant just think of the human as a distinctly a language user, a tool user, etc. because androids have all of those qualities. The vk test has to figure out how to distinguish the human: decides on empathy, empathy is the ability to identify with the emotions of the other.
