Technically an incorrect sentence, it is not clear what is (cid:494)brilliant(cid:495) Either the light aspect or a moment of revelation, he sees through it. The structures that are meant to protect him have all failed. A perfect example of hemingway opening up separate meanings. Hemingway likely went through the same kind of feeling. Holding it in so he won(cid:495)t (cid:494)blab(cid:495)
