The cyborg has a similarity to the contingent, variable, unpossessable lives of women, lived openly in the community. Women are now proving to be more adaptable to the world of the network because our lives have always been networked. Haraway asks us to rethink our place inside the order of the technological world; not opposed to it, but shaping it.
