Driven by poor countries: ethiopia goes up, germany goes down. Population geography the study of the spatial component of demography. Issues of focus include: areal distribution of population. How people are distribution across landscape or spaces. 35 million canadians where do they live, how are they distributed across surface of canadian landscape: reasons for and consequences of distribution. Ex. why are people living more in the gta and what are the consequences. If an area is crowded what are the implications in terms of health, houses, jobs, How we study people on the spatial dimension of things etc. World population has been increasing over the past decades. 20th century (cid:498)the century of population explosion(cid:499: (cid:883)9(cid:887)(cid:882)(cid:495)s when the growth began, overwhelmingly occurring in developing countries.
