Just because monogamy was a rule, does(cid:374)"t (cid:373)ea(cid:374) people follo(cid:449)ed it. Married men would have long term love affairs with hetaerae. Wheeled a lot of influence in ancient greece (not power) bc they have connections to the important men. Free men engaged in a lot of partying and gathering. Men where having sex with hetaerae and young men. In ancient greece men were the sexual creatures, women were not at all (except heterae).
