Canada: pockets of anti semitism, one in quebec government which influenced them restricting immigration into canada, efforts to allow jews were blocked by anti semitism pocket in government. Many historians focus on united states for several reasons: they have the largest jewish population other then europe, during the cold war, they become leaders of democracy and land of free and liberty, gives them a moral position, they aren"t involved in the war like britain, they have people in germany who witness the early deportations, etc, don"t have access to the evolving final solution(cid:224) huge secret of the nazis.
