Bob"s early hits were introduced to the mainstream market by other singers: demonstrates his talent as a singer/songwriter, blowing in the wind, tambourine man (the birds) His originals had great intensity; you"ll hear the message more than if you listen to the covers b/c when you listen to bob dylan"s songs you"re listening to the words. Reveals the significance of his talents to the new folk scenes. One of the most powerful protest songs. Not overtly political in terms of the messages he"s delivering: questioning man-kinds values, and the world in which he"s living.
