Document Summary
Regime is behaving in a way which suggests it is in a failing struggle. 20 000 german servicemen were executed by their superiors on grounds of desertion, defeatism (compared to the miniscule 25 during the imperial time) Super weapons, retribution weapons that are thought to have potential to reverse the grounds of the war due to their advanced technology But none were available soon enough in big enough quantities to make much of a difference. (did kill a lot of civilians though) Werwolf: scheme where insurgent resistance cells would be formed and after the ally occupation they would get weapons from hidden spots and start a gorilla war with the allies. But there was actually no resistance, for the most part german mayors and such were overwhelmingly ready to cooperate with the allies. Even if there were willing numbers of participants it wasa so disorganized, no leaders, weapons or tasks so could not be successful.
