Document Summary
Tells us size of potential market and whether consumers will be interested in the new program/product. Helps us to justify offering this program. If you don"t do this type of evaluation, you have no idea if the program is needed. Falls between initial planning and implementing the program. Use feedback to improve and refine program. Helps identify if it"s working out and what changes need to be made. Obtained a sample from home-care workers and clients to try out exercise program. Based on feedback, planners changed all three components. One exercise was called a braid walk people were supposed to walk on a braided rope; issue is that aging individuals would fall off of the rope. Sample suggested using more ethnic models and adults w/ various levels of ability. Costly, but important to do prior to full-scale implementation. Worth the effort to make program more acceptable and safe.
