Reading (video) - terry pratchett: choosing to die. Terry pratchett was diagnosed with alzheimer"s 3 years ago (he is 62) He wants to die but it is not legal in his country. He is going to follow people who are choosing assisted dying so that they can get the death that they want. He is a writer when he is no longer able to write, or squeeze the the juice out of life he wants to die. He does not know when this will be or how he would like to die. He wants to explore the options of maid. Meets with people who have decided to get assisted in dying. Wants to be free of his affliction. Perhaps going earlier than he should to protect his wife. In belgium assisted death has been legal since 2002. Went to visit the widow of hugo claus (he has alzheimer"s)
