What do public health nurses do : interested in health promotion and illness or injury prevention. Some immunizations, some teaching of health issues. There may be jobs that involve farming, welding, mining foresty. Many times those with higher educations cannot find jobs for their certifications. A woman living in a rural area has to learn to use a gun inorder to protect herself from moose & bears. Policy is usually made in urban setting by people who live in urban areas. So few rural members of parliament that they get ruled in with the urban people a lot more mp"s therefore the urban vote is more powerful rural; communities do not have an adequate policy voice. One way to define rural health there is not usually an adequate number of health care providers in rural communities. Rural lhin have problem finding healthcare professionals in their regions.
