Kinesiology 2222A/B Lecture Notes - Lecture 1: Inferior Pubic Ramus, Vastus Lateralis Muscle, Femoral Vein
Document Summary
The muscular system of the pelvic griddle and lower limbs. 5 muscle groups of pelvis: there is a nerve to each compartment, the action they perform is the name of the nerve, the gluteus is spilt into 2 regions. The fiber direction of maximus and medius result in medial rotation. Innervation, done by 2 nerves: the gluteus maximus is muscle group on its own. The maximus is lateral rotation and extension the intervention is the inferior gluteal nerve. Place the median and minus the function abduction of the hip joint, innervation is the superior gluteal nerve. The common attachment is the great trochanter for the medias and maximus. The gluteal group (cid:894)(cid:272)o(cid:374)t"d(cid:895: does(cid:374)"t influence the skeleton, this muscle is often impaired, there is fascia that surrounds the hip, it moves into and around the hip and thigh. Muscle compartments of the thigh: the posterior compartment is a part of the hamstring they extend the hip.
