It"s a result fro(cid:373) genetic disorder: some people may be born with. Echocardiography (heart function: this machine can quantify chamber size. It can measure blood flow (blood velocity) through the different atrio-ventricular valves. Its effect on blood pressure: somewhat counterintuitive we tend to think that (cid:449)he(cid:374) doi(cid:374)g these valsal(cid:448)a"s, (cid:455)our (cid:271)lood pressure will skyrocket. Initially (phase i), in the first 1s or 1. 5s, there is an increase in systolic bp but after a couple of seconds, there is a tremendous drop in systolic bp. In this example, dropping from 150mmhg to about 110mmhg. Blood pressure and exercise: during rhythmical exercise (swimming, cycling, rowing, etc. March 1st, 2017: even with a small change in map, you can see huge changes in blood flow (cardiac output) because of that decrease in tpr (that vasodilation of the arteries that are feeding the working muscle)
