white laughter visible breath in the cold
o optimistic and genuine, pure laughter
o huge smile, see all of the teeth
o innocence
o white laughter vs black ice build a contract
o blackness that the skaters disregard when they enter the
fantasy
what does the laughter imply?
o so dangerous to skate on this ice
the moon mattered a lot, and the stars
o shoot for the moon, even if you miss youll land upon the stars
o they are the only natural source of lighting
o added to the experience altogether
o binds ice skating to the natural world although skating is a
fantasy that we create, it's a natural thing to fantasize
Third Stanze
ice capades
o higher level of ice skating fantasy world
Fourth Stanza
lines of light
o signifies a hope for the fantasy
o allows the skaters to remain in fantasy sparkle and flare
Fifth Stanza
ice vs darkness in a universal meaning
o ice is a barrier darkness underneath
o golden circle bubble of fantasy
o light is all you see in that time - you don't know whats to
come next
