The lesson plan: the blueprint that outlines the sequence of activities that will take place in the training program. Lesson: a cohesive unit of instruction with a specific learning objective. Ensure training is directed toward real problems. Permit expenditures to be budgeted and monitored. The sequencing of the various activities in the lesson is an mportant consideration. Beginning with simple and familiar eases learners into new content and experiences. Allows trainees t see how their current level of knowledge and experience is relevant for the training. Qualities of a good trainer: smes, delivery, ability to make material interesting, enthusiastic, expressive and engaging. Train-the-trainer: programs that teach sme"s how to design and deliver training programs (notebook 9. 2) Assessed by person analysis, tests, interviews and trainability tests. Trainability tests: taking a mini-course or learning a sample of the training, taking attest that measures learning. Shown to be predictive of training success and job performance in many jobs.
