Communicating helpful information to a struggling teammate may be viewed as a firm of interpersonal citizenship behavior. What does it mean to be a good communicator . Two categories: face to face communication and the important distinction between verbal + non- verbal, related yet distinct forms of computer-mediated communication, including e- mail, videoconferencing, corporate wikis. Face-to-face communication: the exchange of information and meaning when ne or more individuals are physically present, and where communication occurs without the aid of any mediating technology. The nature of communication in face-to-face encounters often has both verbal and nonverbal qualities that provide a rich information source. Gold standard of communication : tends to engage more human senses than mediated communication.
