Xeno-racism is a non-colour coded form of racialized discrimination. Does not rely on white vs. non white. Viewed as intruders sent to confound rich countries. Concerns are seen as rational and not racist criminalizing/dehumanizing immigrants existence and transforming them into a threatening other. Trumps election gives a platform for hate crimes. How do we define whiteness in different contexts? whiteness. Who is included in this circle has everything to do with racism. Misunderstanding of what jobs immigrants are taking, it is not nice work. Then they would complain there is no one to clean the hospitals etc. We live in a very fucked up world. One that is increasingly concerned with keeping certain people out of certain places. A certain class of citizens will be valued over those deemed illegals/aliens/other. This kind of racial discourse is already at play: fences, walls. Racist xenophobic policies=criminalizing and killing people who are not criminals. (cid:498)class, who counts as white? (cid:499)
