83 views7 pages

Document Summary

Some people are born (right hand end of spectrum) 10-15% of the population do not develop leadership. Most of us are in the middle: there is the capacity to learn to be a leader. Nb: these traits are what lead to credibility; if you cant trust the message, you wont believe in the messenger. Longer view of things > short term goals refer to wicked problems. The limitations in solving wicked problems is when we get stuck in linear thinking or when we rely only on evidence. Evidence comes from the past to be a leader, you need to look to the future. We need to have people who are willing to abandon the processes that keep us stuck where were at right now; the willingness to do things differently. What can be done better: care for marginalized groups, communication between hospitals/ccac/medication reconciliation, etc.
