Division is arbitrary, as the 2 sides are interconnected via the lungs > biventricular failure often occurs. Affected heart > ventricle is expanded and there"s more blood in the heart. Problem, wall is thinner and it"s more difficult to generate the forces needed to propel blood out of the ventricle. Heart must be pumping but if you have resistance on the other side of the heart, blood doesn"t like to leave the heart > expansion of the heart.
