Physicalism is the view that every object is a physical object. In a technical sense,an object is physical if it can be given a complete description in an ideal physics. But we can make so with an intuitive sense for the purposes of this argument. Physicalism is not obviously and plainly true. Physicalism is false is god exists, for example. If you believe god exists, and if god is not physical, then physicalism is false. Similarly, if we have consciousness, and if our consciousness is not physical, then physicalism is false. There are features about the world that we are comfortable accepting. But, we can work with a simpler examples, such as numbers. 4. there are two odd number between 6 and 10 therefore, there are at least two odd numbers therefore, there are at least two numbers therefore, there are numbers.
